inspiration: framed shopping bags

This concept got a lot of coverage by bloggers a while back, and I have recently been thinking about doing it myself for empty wall space in my closet.  The original coverage came from a photo from Australian Better Homes & Garden.

Then there was this photo of Krista Webster’s wall designed by Jessica Cotton.

Then over at Moth Design blog, pictures of the author’s own closet space, using simple white Ikea frames.

I wouldn’t do this look in your main living room, but if you have a walk-in closet with wall space or an office that needs some quick art, I’m a fan.

The rebranded Saks bag would be stellar framed on the wall.  I would even consider an all black-and white theme with: Saks, Chanel, Barneys, and Prada.

If you were lucky enough to get the H&M/Lanvin bag, these would be so beautiful framed.

And, colorful bags

Also- if you’re not running around buying large quantities of luxury goods, you can sometimes find the bags for sale online.  Or– in certain stores, buy a smaller less expensive item for a small bag, or ask for a larger bag upon purchase.
